The primary role of the Canine Unit is to offer support services to the Operations Division. Canine officers will typically respond to alarm activation calls, requests for vehicle and building searches, and to track fleeing or barricaded suspects. A canine team is comprised of a police officer and a highly trained police service dog.
The Menifee Police Department currently has two K-9 units working patrol in the City of Menifee.
