PROFESSIONAL STANDARDS UNIT

The Professional Standards and Training (PST) unit is multi-faceted and serves several functions within the Menifee Police Department to ensure that our employees are serving the community with pride and professionalism.

The Professional Standards and Training unit is responsible for reviewing and investigating all complaints of professional misconduct by members of the public, as well as any administrative disciplinary investigations involving Police Department Personnel.  In additional to investigating complaints of misconduct, the PST unit is responsible for ensuring the department follows federal and state mandates, and monitors the processes by which uses of force, officer involved traffic collisions and vehicle pursuits are reviewed.

Professional Standards personnel work closely with the Training Bureau to ensure all personnel receive exceptional, current, relevant and innovative training.
