This change is necessary in preparation for a national 3-digit (988) suicide and mental health crisis hotline. The new hotline will be availableHeads Up, Menifee! Starting tomorrow, October 24 calls to the 951-area code will require dialing 1 + area code + telephone number.

The change to 10-digit dialing for local calls was ordered by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) as preparation for a move to designate 988 as the national three-digit suicide and mental health crisis hotline, which takes effect nationwide on July 16, 2022.

Affected California area codes include: 209, 530, 562, 626, 650, 707, 925, 949 and 951.

National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day is tomorrow!

Menifee PD has a Prescription Drug Drop-Off Box year-round in the lobby. Make sure to drop off your unused or expired prescription medication during normal business hours. Proper disposal reduces the likelihood for abuse of medications and can save a life.

You guys need to do some traffic control at the 215 south bound exit and Newport. The 215 South is backed up McCall with people all exiting Newport. Is a traffic light out or what?
